Official Launch of The LIA Academy
The Lighting Industry Association announces official launch of the LIA Academy
On September 28, 2016 the Lighting Industry Association (LIA) will officially launch its LIA Academy. The launch, coming with a VIP lunch and guest speakers, follows the Academy’s recent announcement of a formal partnership with the University of South Wales, to offer recognised qualifications in lighting.
The LIA Academy for Learning
The launch event will feature presentations by Peter Hunt, COO of The LIA, as well as a keynote presentation by Ray Molony, editor of Lux Review. In addition to lunch, guests will be given a tour of the Academy and an opportunity to visit the LIA Laboratory located next door. Steve Davies, CEO of the LIA, said: “We’re inviting our LIA members to save the date of September 28 in their diaries. Formal invitations to the LIA Academy official launch will be sent out shortly.”
The LIA Academy Training
The LIA offer a wide selection of learning related to the lighting industry, through a unique collaboration of industry bodies and provider partners. The Lighting Industry Academy provides a hub for the development and delivery of high-quality learning.
The vision of the LIA is to bring together stakeholders to collaborate on creating an Academy for Learning, that will happen anywhere in physical and virtual environments, with quality assured material from a range of providers. The Academy is the one-stop home for all training and development needs, both in the lighting profession itself and for lighting expertise to those wider users of lighting products.
