Lighting Architect
Light should be embedded at the heart of the architectural design process rather than applied as a ‘cosmetic add-on’, a last item in the overall build budget. This integral approach to light has led to adopt the term ‘lighting architect’ to describe the role as building with light as opposed to bricks and mortar.
On the contrary to the Lighting Designer or an Architectural Lighting Designer who take the proposed architecture as a basis to enroll their customized project lighting plans, Lighting Architects are overseeing the integral role and importance of light in the building process as a whole.
