During six exceptional evenings, the e-Luminate Cambridge Festival, will offer the public a unique spectacle creating ephemeral light art installations in the richness and diversity of the urban landscape, and completely transforming the city.
From all over the city, the region and around the world, visitors are invited to discover Cambridge in a new light.
e-Luminate Cambridge is the city’s most innovative arts festival showcasing breathtaking light installations created by artists, designers and technologists. The great thing about light is that it is a medium accessible to all, no prior knowledge of the arts or sciences is needed to enjoy this amazing event!
The e-Luminate Foundation is committed to inspire and promote creative solutions to today’s energy efficiency challenges, closing the gap between users and energy/lighting innovators and making this world a ‘brighter’ place for all.

Through a series of events, installations, workshops and concerts, the e-Luminate Foundation promote light as the basis for creative artistic work and innovative lighting technology. The annual festival celebrates light, creativity, and innovation to provide a platform exhibiting talent and the city’s landmarks, unique architecture and history in a new light.
The event is, after the Amsterdam Light Festival 2015-2016, another great European event promoting light as as the basis for both creative artistic work and innovative technology. Creative lighting and projection technologies entertain visitors and highlight the city’s unique architecture and history, whilst having a positive impact on the local economy.
Taking place in February, the event offers visitors of all ages the chance to discover Cambridge after dark in a new light. As part of the light festival, several interactive activities such as concerts, targeted talks, and workshops are beinbg held to engage with multiple audiences.
